Privacy Policy
This page explains what information EarningsTape collects, why, and what third parties may set cookies when you visit.
1. Information we collect directly
EarningsTape does not require an account, does not maintain user profiles, and does not ask for personal information. We do not collect names, email addresses, payment details, or any other personally identifiable information directly from visitors.
Like nearly all websites, our server records technical request logs that may include your IP address, browser User-Agent string, the URL you requested, and the timestamp of the request. These logs are used solely for diagnostics (debugging errors, blocking abusive traffic) and are not shared with third parties. Standard server logs are rotated periodically.
2. Cookies and third-party services
EarningsTape uses the following third-party services that may place cookies on your device or process limited usage data:
- Google AdSense. We display advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar identifiers to serve ads based on your previous visits to this site and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising at google.com/settings/ads, or visit aboutads.info to learn more about interest-based advertising and to opt out of additional networks.
EarningsTape does not control how third-party services collect or use data — please review the respective vendors' privacy policies for details.
3. EU / UK visitors (GDPR)
If you visit EarningsTape from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the right under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to access, correct, or delete personal data that we hold about you, and to object to or restrict its processing. Because EarningsTape does not collect personal data directly, most such requests should be directed to the third-party vendors listed above (in particular Google, regarding ad cookies).
EarningsTape relies on Google's consent management for personalized ads to EU/UK visitors. If you do not consent to personalized ads, you will still see non-personalized advertising on the site.
4. California residents (CCPA)
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information is being collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale of personal information. EarningsTape does not sell personal information. Third-party advertising partners may use cookies to deliver targeted advertising, which under the CCPA may be considered a "sale" of personal information; you may opt out of personalized advertising via the links in section 2 above.
5. Children's privacy
EarningsTape is intended for an audience interested in U.S. financial markets and is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
6. Data security
The site is served over HTTPS. Server logs are stored on our hosting provider's infrastructure with standard physical and network protections in place. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee that data transmitted to or from the site is immune to interception or unauthorized access.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in services, regulations, or the third-party tools we use. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date.
